Herbier collection, I couldn't help myself! It's ironic because the collection is full of pinks and oranges, but I was drawn to the beiges. Here's the monochromatic layout I created:
It's based on this week's Pencil Lines sketch:
My impulse was to put the title across the bottom, but I'm glad that the sketch encouraged me to put it on top. I think it's a better place for the title. Check out the rest of the details:
A collection of white elements: half a doily, some pearl brads, a paper flower, a Jenni Bowlin chipboard button, and a patterned paper ruffle.
And in the upper right corner another collection of white elements: a patterned paper ruffle, paper heart, and a jeweled circle. I think with monochromatic layouts you need to combine lots of different textures to make it all work.
So what do you think? Do you like monochromatic layouts? Hate them? Do you make them?
Let me know your opinion!
