Venetië (Venice) - Birgit

Hello everyone on this beautiful sunday moring!
The moment I saw the "Ces petit riens"-line I fell in love with it right away. Not so strange because the warm colors and prints reminded me of the colors of Italy where I just spend my vacation.

The houses around Lake Garda and in Venice are all [ainted in those warm red, orange, yellow and blue colors.
And the prints of the paper also have that warm southern feel.

The first LO I made with these papers is about Venice. I wish I could say I loved Venice. And of course it was nice to see the gondolas and all the canals and little bridges. And I did make some nice pictures but, to be honest... I thought Venice was way to crowded, dirty, with to many shops that all sell the same and oh so expensive. Therefor the title of this LO is "To bad, but Venice is not so beautiful as you might think when you see this lovely picture".

Materials used here are: Innocence (background paper), Ces petit riens patterned paper and tags, Herbier (Butterflies), Tampons tout mignons.

I stamped with distress ink on the yellow background using a flower stamp from Tampons tout Mignons.

I've cut out the butterflies from the embellishment strips. Some of the little white butterflies are colored with blue distress ink to make them stand out a little more and ad some color to the LO. I used staples to adhere the butterflies which makes it easy to let the wings stand up and give depth to the page.

A strip of yellow paper on the left side of the layout balances the page. I made holes with the crop-a-dile and tied a thread through.

I'm pretty sure I will use these papers again for more Italy LO's!

Thank you for your interest!
Enjoy scrapping!
Have a great sunday!

Smiles,
Birgit
