With the Christmas holiday quickly approaching, I thought I'd share a pretty gift box idea. Take an existing gift box or make your own.

I created a quick gift box from kraft cardstock.



I used papers and a transparency strip from the "Ma maison en automne" collection to decorate the box.



One of my favorite things to do with beautiful tone-on-tone paper (like you see here) is to paint on top of it and cut the shapes out. You can see that I did just that with the flower, tags, and background scalloped paper. Give it a try. It's very easy!



I even added a stitched ruffle around the edge of the box top for a pretty finishing touch!
